Hello!
I use a big sdd in my pc and i dont have any hdd.
So i was wondering if there is any way to dowload stuff to a external drive without writing anything in the ssd
Thank you.

Solution
just set your download path to the external drive, use save as for example in internet explorer or you can set windows to always download to the external, ie open explorer windows , left panel see where it says downloads, right click properties, then location tab, set the external drive as default path it will ask to move say yes, and your done.

ps: if the external drive is usb, this will actually slow your computer down

Sure. It will probably write some stuff to the Temp folder, but you can download to the external drive no problem.
Is there a specific concern about writing to the SSD?

Yes, i only want to store things.
But because the program is in the sdd, i was wondering if the files are written in the sdd first and then to the external drive.
I dont want to download in the sdd because i use to download a lot of things and dont want to damage the main drive.
Thank you.

almost every program, especially web browsers, give you the ability to change where downloaded files are stored. windows also allow you to move the default folders like (ex. my music) to another drive
