Go to
http://www8.hp.com/uk/en/support-drivers.html
Search for dv6000
Select your model number, then enter Vista 32 bit or 64 bit depending on what version of Win 7 you have. ( you won't get Win7 drivers, but it will run on Vista drivers) Download all the drivers you need, but save each file, don't run. Then run each SoftPaq (SP)file in turn by right clicking and choosing 'Troubleshoot compatibility' This way the drivers will all load correctly. If any fail, you will be invited to try different versions of Windows for compatibility.
