download speed all of the sudden extremely low

OK, so here's my problem. one day, my internet stopped working for no o parent reason. so, i rebooted my modem, and it came back on. but not like it was, my download speed is now at an all time low, only reaching 3-4 kbps.... that is ridiculous. did my 5 year old modem finally bite the dust? or is there a fix for this? some help would be great PS: the modem is a zyxel p-660r-d1.

Modems are electronics. Electronics all die at some point.

I would at a minimum talk to my ISP about this as well. The problem might be on their end.

I've already ordered another router on amazon, if that doesn't work then i'll have a talk to my isp.

I like Amazon too... but I would have called the ISP first. My experience is that most problems are on their end, and it costs nothing to have them come fix it.

To be honest, the reason I don't like calling my isp, is I can hardly understand them. lol
