[SOLVED] Download speed I stuck at 1Mb/s

I have been having 20/Mb/s download speed for around a year and have a 120 down 12 up speed on speed test but for the past couple of days It has dropped to 1/Mb I don't have utorrent and I haven't downloaded anything recently

Is this a wired or wireless connection to the primary router? Is there ANY network hardware besides the primary router?

Its a wired connection, there is no other network hardware besides the router

OK. Have you swapped the cable for a factory made cat5e or better pure copper, non-flat ethernet cable? Open the "Network and Sharing" control panel. Click on the "Ethernet" word. It will show you what the link speed to the router is configured as. It should be 1 Gbit.

It says 1Gbit per second And I am sure I have a pure copper cable

Have you tried a different cable? That is always the first thing to try.
Does your PC have a killer brand ethernet controller? Their software can cause a lot of problems.
