Question Downloading streaming podcasts with software possible?

I'm running Windows 7, and found some podcasts I'd like to download and listen to later. Many apps I've tried balk when I paste the link to the podcast I want, trying to make me 'subscribe' or somesuch. Is there a program that will let you start playing the podcast, then download it to your harddrive, kind of like "Flash Video Downloader" does with video files? Tried Juice22, Pull, and Zune with no success.

Try analogue route: Speakers-out to Line-In, then any audio recorder. Yes, this will go in realtime.

That idea is going to be my last resort, but it would definitely work. I'd like to avoid having to spend 3 hours downloading a 3 hour podcast, and have to be there to turn off record at the end of it. I'll keep it in mind if there isn't a better option out there.
