Hello Everyone,

I recently built a computer (loving it) and also got the ethernet jack enabled so I could have good Download and Upload speeds, but one thing I'm noticing is that everytime I try to download a game it will roll back the download and go back to a certain point. For instance I'm currently downloading BF3 and It keeps rolling backwards. As in I will go and do something (call of duty maybe) to occupy my time while the download is going on or not even be on my machine while it's downloading. And when I come back to the download it will have rolled back to that original number. Right now BF3 keeps going back to around 3.25 Gb if I'm not paying attention. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

If you need here are the specs of my machine.
i7-6700k
Asus R9 290X reference card.
Samsung 850 evo M.2 SSD (512gb)
Hitachi 2TB drive, though I only use that for mass storage rather than game downloads
Gigabyte GA-170MX Gaming 5 MATX board
16gb (8x2) Geil Super Luce DDR4-3000 Ram

PS, It rolled back form 4.2 to 3.5 and then to 3.2 WHILE I WAS TYPING THIS -_- Please help

PSS, Restarting the computer helps, It will resume the download right where it left off and then go for a few gigs unaffected. After about 3 or 4 gigs though it will start to roll backwards (in the case of Origin) or it will stop the download all together, and refuse to resume for more than a few seconds (in the case of steam)

Close origin
go to the hard drive you have BF3/ your game installed on
then go into origin games and remove BF3/ your game folder .. cut it and past it on desk top
Then restart origin so that it can see bf3/ your game is gone
then closed origin again and move bf3/ your game back to the original folder
Then open origin again
And try repair game

or

After you have experienced the error, can you please just close the error window and then resume the download by pressing the small arrow next to the exit option, in the download bar.

Keep doing this and it should finish the download. Remember to only hit it ones and if the error happens again, then resume again and keep doing the process.

or

1. PAUSE download & Log off
2. Completely close the Origin Client
3. Start Origin Client again
4. Log on & Resume download.

Do these steps at least 5-6 times and voila, it should finish. After doing these steps my download finished 100% without problem.

NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU PAUSE THE DOWNLOAD BEFORE LOGGING OFF AND CLOSING CLIENT!

I haven't tried any of this yet, but I did try taking a ram stick out. And now it's running without a hitch. I think I may have a bad slot or stick, I will post updates on what I find
