So I set up a mostly new build with on a Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX, a 3080ti and AM Ryzen 7 9700x last week and was getting a red light on the DRAM light on the MOBO and it was driving me crazy. I tried multiple configurations but eventually the only way it would post and boot was with 1 stick only in slot 3, however either stick of RAM worked, so I don't think that's the problem.

I then checked my CPU and realised I had bent some pins on the socket. So I returned it and got a new MOBO - even though I was the one who bent the pins (Amazon is good for something).

After a somewhat arduous build process (including flashing the BIOS) I am back in the exact same situation.

The RAM is Acer Predator Pallas II.

Upon checking compatibility (which I did before buying ofc) on Pangoly, it lists CL32 Black BL.9BWWR.432 as compatible. However, what I got was CL3**0** Black BL.9BWWR.4**3**

Could this simple difference of 2 numbers in the model be the cause of my woes? But then why would it work in single channel?

The only other thing I can think of is that I borked the CPU by installing it into a socket with bent pins....

Any ideas would be appreciated greatly, I'm 12 hours down trying to troubleshoot this crap when I would have completed my build in 3 hours.
