I am trying to reinstall Windows 10 on a LENOVO ideapad 110 Laptop.

I am unable to further the installation due to this problem on the setup

[Details on Windows 10 Setup]

Drive 0 Unallocated Space Total Size 0.0MB Free Space 0.0 MB

"This partition is too small. Make the size of this partition at least 9219 MB or select another partition."

I have also tried CMD (Command Prompt) with DISKPART.

DISKPART
LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0
CLEAN
CREATE PRIMARY PARTITION

Not sure what to do at this point.

I tried "Format quick fs=ntfs" but it says "There is no volume selected. Please select a volume and try again."

***UPDATE***

I just figured out that the Hard Disk on BIOS is [Not Detected]

What should i do?

If you don't have hard drive (or it is damaged), you don't have where to install Windows to.
So - make sure you can see the disk in BIOS. Try resetting BIOS to default settings first.

As a last resort - you should be able to remove the harddrive from that laptop, and try it in USB-to-SATA adapter.

I have a hard drive inside the laptop.

Is there a problem with a cable inside the laptop?

When i try to boot the laptop normally it says

"Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed. Insert Recovery Media and Hit any key then Select 'Boot Manager' to choose a new Boot Device or to Boot Recovery Media'

This is an indication that either your HDD does not have bootable OS, or is just not there (damaged, disconnected...)

That's why you would first reset BIOS settings, check that the drive is detected by BIOS. If it's not "there" - take it out, and plug it into another computer with SATA->USB converter (you can biy one for like $20), or (if you have a desktop) - just plug it directly.

Ok but i dont want to use the SATA->USB converter the whole time. I want the hard drive to be used inside the laptop. I want to fix the issue inside the laptop. What would using SATA->USB converter benefit me?
