Drive disconnectes randomly

Last Christmas i purchased a new 1tb Barracuda hard drive to go along with the 1tb of storage already on my computer. The drive worked well for the whole time i've had it except for the last few weeks. The drive has been randomly dissapearing and the fix is to go into disk management and re-scan for drives. After doing this it shows up but it will still disconnect and i have to do this process again. Anybody know a fix? I've checked the cables and made sure they are snug and connected so that is not the issue

Hello lukefrederick6805, download and install Seatools and run it on the HDD. It will tell you how the drive is and if it is the cause of the problem you are having. Best of luck and keep us posted.
