Hello,

I've recently wiped my Win 7 PC and have updated to Win 10.

During the course of doing so, one of my drives is no longer accessible.

There's a red circle with what appears to be a white plus inside next to "Disk 1"
It's status is "Unknown."
And it is listed as "Not Initialized."
It's entire partition, in Disk Management, is "Unallocated."

When I attempt to right click on it, in Disk Management, to Initialize it, I get the following error "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."

The drive literally was working just earlier with 0 problems of any kind.

And every fix I've attempted, has failed.

Suggestions?

I think you will need to install your chipset and storage controller drivers. In any case, please state the specs to your system and include the make and model of the PSU and it's age. A screenshot of what you're seeing in Disk Manager will also help us two fold.

On another note, where did you source your installer for Windows 10 from?
