Driver for Generic USB Camera Windows XP

I see this question asked repeatedly on Tom's Hardware in one form or another, always unanswered or the extremely unhelpful "you have not given enough information" answer. If people had more information they no doubt would not be here looking for help. In addition Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo search engines direct here because the question appears here, unfortunately the answer does not so they ask it again. So perhaps we can end this cycle now. I have a generic camera, no name, no marking of any sort. It is a USB camera. I have Windows XP. Is there any way to find a program, driver etc to get this thing to work?

Brilliant! Thank you so much for helping me, and no doubt future searchers everywhere! I took the information from the Device Manager steps and Googled the result and my camera was identified and confirmed with a picture.
