Hi all,
So in the past, you bought a new GPU you got a CD that contained a driver that always worked with the GPU it was packed on.
Since I didn't get a CD with my new GPU, what is the most stable/most reliable driver for Nvidia RTX 4060?
I ask this since from my past experience, some drivers can cause blue screens, prevent some games from running properly (especially older games), and the last which loss of fps.
So I would be thankful for the insight from you.
Cheers,
Sew

General practice is update to the latest driver regularly. Nvidia releases per-game drivers at almost every release, so using an old driver means you are limiting performance and specific bug fixes.

There is the very occasional problem with a driver release. At such a time you can roll back to an older driver.

I can't really think of an instance where a driver update has prevented older titles from working.

When i had my 560ti back in the day, I was getting info about the driver stopped responding every so often when browsing the web, while gaming it was happening like every 20 or 30 minutes making it impossible to play games. Then I bought 750ti and never had such problems.
On my rx 570 from sapphire, the cd driver was always working and installation went smoothly, but when i was installing drivers from amd website i was getting blue screen on death during the update. Some newest drivers for my rx 570 were causing older games to run with disco theme xD I had to uninstall them completely and still drivers from 2019 and then they were working properly, i mean games.
So yeah, i had some bad blood with nvidia. That is why i want to know which drivers are most stable/reliable for this card.
