Hello everybody, just received my new GTX 1060 Gigabyte G1 today. I'm having some issues trying to install the drivers. Whenever I try installing the driver, it gives me an error stating, "This NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows."
What the hell? I really don't get it. I have Windows 10 64 bit. I downloaded EXACTLY the Windows 10 64 bit drivers, and when trying to install, I keep running into this issue. I've already tried rebooting multiple times, trying through GeForce Experience, device manager, etc.
However, in device manager, under display adapters, it says "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter." I right click it, then choose to automatically look for and install drivers. It then says windows has FOUND my video card, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6B, but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
What do I do? Been hours now, and I'm about to head bang my monitor >_>.
