Just finishing up a new build that my advised my son to use one of the recommended gaming builds from this website.

I've built two Pc's [last one in 2022], and all of my builds had a dvd with the motherboard, where as this one didn't. So when we turn the PC on, its just a black screen..

Here are the specs;
CPU: intel core i5-14600kf
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte z790 gaming X AX
GPU: RTX4060 Ti
RAM: crucial pro 32 gb (x4v 32gb)
STORAGE: WD black SN850x (2TB)
CASE: LIAN LI Lancool 216RX
COOLER: PS120 Thermalright PS120SE CPU air cooler

I will post pictures of the motherboard soon.

Please stick to one thread to avoid spaghetti brains.
Sorry about that, but this is a different issue [which the original problem has been solved] than the title of the original thread which was about how to get into the BIOS .

Where as with a new thread with the new issue listed in the title, may draw someone in that has the answer to my problem.

No. The PC runs fine, and Windows boots up with just the one ram stick installed in the same slot. When you take that same ram, and plug it into one of the other slots the PC won't boot up at all.

Like I mentioned, I tried all of the other ram sticks in that slot and all of them work fine [ie Windows load, and the PC works as normal] , so they all should be good.

I want to use the other ram that I bought as some of the newer games are going to either run really slow, or not at all with just the one ram stick installed.

So, the system only works when a single stick of memory is installed and only one slot?

Does all memory match 100%?

Last, have you inspected the CPU socket for damaged/bent or missing pins?
Yes.
Yes.
No broken pins.

I would like to set my dram speed in the BIOS, but I can't find what speed setting they need to be set at. [I will have to check my BIOS later to see what the default speed is that they are set at currently].

[sorry for the late reply]

Update: Looks like it was a broken/bent pin. Today we used a powerful magnifying glass, and good lighting and was able to see the bad pin in the motherboard.

However, the location of the bent pin would indicate that it wasn't user damaged [as there is no way to have installed the cpu chip, and just damage one pin in the middle of the pin set.]. Going to send the board back to the company next week.

Hopefully they will either repair the bent pin, or just send a new board. Thanks for all of the help. I guess you can mark this one solved to help anyone else with this issue.
