[SOLVED] DRIVER IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL

My PC is 3 weeks old and had no issues aside from the internet connection randomly cutting off.

This BSOD happened within 2 minutes of my taking my wireless adapter and plugging into the front panel USB port. For the past three weeks, it's been connected to the back panel and I didn't get this error.

All of my drivers are updated.

What could cause this issue and will changing to a cable instead of a USB adapter help?

right click start button
choose powershell (admin)
copy/paste this command into same window:
Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth
and press enter
once its complete, re run SFC /scannow and restart PC
SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files which are the files SFC uses to correct the system files.

rtwanlu = realtek wireless lan driver. What make/model lan card? How old is it?
Have you got latest BIOS on motherboard or chipset drivers?
What are specs of the PC?

I did it.

Can you tell me why this has happened? It only happened when I plugged it into the front panel and worked fine for 3 weeks in the back panel.

With that being said I do get occasional random disconnects, sometimes 5 times a day and sometimes once every 2 days. Do you think getting an Ethernet cable would 100% help or should I contact my manufacturers company?

To answer your previous question I have a TL-WN823n. It's 2 months old and worked just fine on my previous PC. And yes, I do have the latest BIOS.

Not sure, all USB on your motherboard is controlled by Intel - I thought perhaps the front were different but shouldn't be.

it doesn't help there are 3 different versions of that dongle.
version 1 has this chipset - RTL8192CU - newest drivers for it is 2017 - https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=RTL8192CU
version 2 has this chipset - RTL8192EU - newest for it is 2017 as well - https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/rtl8192eu-software
version 3 has this chipset - RTL8188EUS - completes trilogy of 2017 drivers - https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/rtl8188ee-software

Now this is a USB 2 adapter, you might find you need a new adapter. If realtek aren't making any new drivers for it, you might be best getting a newer USB 3 adapter as it shouldn't cause the same errors.

The date of the drivers on TP link is just date of their package, the actual drivers might be old still. Many USB 2 WIfi adapters say they have win 10 drivers but many are relabelled win 7 drivers and not guaranteed to work.
