Alright, I've got an old laptop and I've been trying to update the display driver. I've attempted this before and got nowhere, so I gave up and cursed a lot. This time, I'm hoping someone here will be able to help.

System info:
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
System Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
System Model: Inspiron 3520
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2370M CPU @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
DirectX Version: DirectX 12

Display:
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
Current Mode: 1366 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz)
Driver Version: 9.17.10.4229

The driver I'm wanting to update is for the Intel HD Graphics 3000. The download section of the Intel website has drivers listed for this device, seemingly, but I can't actually install them. I have downloaded both the .zip and .exe versions, as well as both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions of both. In every case, I'm given an error response that my PC does not meet the minimum requirements for the install.

Here's the link of what I've been trying to install: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24970/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-32bit

I do realize that the downloads are for Windows 7-8, and not for Windows 10. I just don't know where to find one for Windows 10, if there even is. Is that the issue?

(I'm not overly computer-literate, so I wasn't sure if I needed the 64-bit version since I have a 64-bit OS, or 32-bit since (I think) that's what the laptop originally had (Windows 7 32-bit))

I've also attempted to have Windows search for drivers by going to the properties tab of the display adaptor. Windows reports that I'm running the best version of the driver.

I'm at a loss. I've also attempted to update the driver for my processor, but Windows gives me the same report of running the best version available. My best guess for the ideal solution is to retire this laptop, but I'm hoping there's a solution for this problem that I can use until then? Do I need to go back to using Windows 7 with this machine? Any advice is appreciated.

Solution
OPen device manager (right clcik on Windows logo in bottom left corner), look under display adapters, find the Intel Graphics entry, right click and choose Update Driver Software.
