Because of this: https://i.ibb.co/Bg55VHb/harddiskslika.pngThere are no drivers for hdds specifically, there are storage controller drivers however but Windows takes care of that on it's own. Why are you looking?
https://i.ibb.co/NSvNXHT/hardisk.png doesnt workJust right click in the space where it says unallocated -> new simple volume.
power cable good data cable good, hdd at start makes some weird noises then it goes goodIO error mean windows cant comunicate with your drive (hardware failure), check power and data cables, make sure drive is spinning and its not making weird noises
The only thing that i want right now is to guide me through pictures,i want no more headaches
i dont have ide cable, and my motherboard is b450m-h and my hdd outputs are sata power and sata data cablePATA pretty much means the same as IDE: an older mode for accessing the drive
We'd be happy to look it up if you could tell us what motherboard you have. It would probably be much faster if we were there, as in some ways this can be more difficult and so takes longer than even tech support on the phone.
Of course instead of paying someone for tech support it's likely cheaper and more certain to solve your problem with fewer headaches to just buy a new drive. Sometimes they just die, but at least they are pretty cheap now.
That means - the disk is not initialized.Disk unknown Not initialized means the MBR is corrupt.
And ignore all that nonsense about IDE compatibility and PATA cables.
bfg the bios doesnt have ide mode, and its f2 version what i've gotSelectable IDE and PATA compatibility modes are for SATA controllers and don't have anything to do with PATA cables. The BIOS for an IDE controller wouldn't have such settings as that would not be logical--what other mode could it run in?
I think we've expended enough time here trying to salvage a $36 drive, don't you? I mean even if it got fixed in another system, could you really trust it again?
