Exactly. Also if my emergency backup drive is older than 5-7 years or have more than 200-300 hours on it, i replace it for a new one. I plan on getting a fireproof safe too, to put the drive in in case of really bad weather, though it's not really common in my area. People who get floods often might want to find a way to waterproof a safe or something which is what i am a little more worried about than a fire.

Anyway since i have limited money i only access the 2TB i got put into an external enclosure when i need to grab something off of there, but i got a bunch of older drives that i just use on the regular basis. It makes it so my external 2TB is like a backup and my 3TB is my emergency backup. I will need to replace my 2TB though since it has a lot of runtime/hours on it which will be when i can get a 5 or 6TB drive, but if i got problems with that drive at least i will have my emergency backup so any critical data is not lost.

I'm glad I don't have that important data to backup. Having some important files saved in more than one cloud storage services is more than enough for me. Btw Wuala by Lacie is encrypted if your main concern is security. Also, mirroed files in your computer are not accessible until wuala starts up and log in to service. Instead of creating a new folder within your Home/User folder, it creates a new drive which is encrypted. Meaning that if your computer or hard drive is stolen, your data will still be safe.
