Dropped hard drive won't show up

So the other day my laptop fell from my table. I have dropped it before but I guess this was the straw that broke the camels back as it won't boot anymore. Also when I connect the hdd to my other laptop it shows up for a second as a "usb drive" in device and printers. I can hear the hdd click once when its plugged in.

Alright so my question is, is there any programs out there that can help me recover the data? I have tried EaseUS and some other recovery programs but none seem to locate the HDD.

software will only work if the harddrive is recognisable. You could try freezing it (in a bag to avoid condensation issues) i've known it to work, but it won't work for long. Presume the data is lost and if you get some back then you are lucky.

If you cant mount the drive then you are out of luck.

If a hard drive falls while it is spinning the end result is almost always a dead drive.

If you removed the drive and tried plugging it into a different computer and it wont mount then there is nothing you can do (outside of spending hundreds to thousands of dollars sending it to a data recovery place).

Lesson learned, backups!
