Dropped my Samsung 950 Pro M.2 NVM PCIE SSD Drive

So yesterday I got my Samsung 950 Pro M.2 NVM PCIE SSD Drive and upon opening I dropped the M.2 drive on the carpet floor from about 6 feet. I won't be able to test it for two weeks. I am kinda over paranoid; you guys think it is gonna be fine?

Almost certainly. SSDs don't suffer from drop damage as there are no moving parts.

Is that true? Rubbing your feet on carpet creates static electricity, but I'm not sure that carpet by itself stores high levels of static electricity.

Even still, I should imagine the SSD is pretty well protected against it. Try it and find out

I did the exact same thing, but mine dropped on the hardwood floor. I'm sure it's fine. I guess those M.2 form factors drives are hard to hold on to, since they are so small and light. Here's the description of my issue, in case you're curious:

I got pissed at mine and fired it against the wall as my older motherboard didn't support it. It dented the drywall. It also bounced off a lamp shade and landed in my walk in closet which is hardwood. Got a new board that supports it and it works fine
