So my wife dropped my pc and after that it would not turn on.
When i try to power it the fan on the cpu will spin ever so slightly and stop. No lights come on.
I replaced the cmos battery and tried the pau test eith the pin. If i jump the psu it turns on the fans for the case and i can heard the hard drive start spinning. The video card and the cpu fan do not turn on.
I tried reseating all the cables as well as the cpu. This did not fix the problem. I also swapped out the hdd and nothing.
I think my problem might lie with the cpu pr motherboard.
I have a sli krait motherboard. Corsair power supply. Stock cpu intel fan and a gtx 1070.

Solution
You could have cracked the motherboard. A heavy graphics card could have broken the PCIe socket. There are a million possibilities. I think you are going to have to pull the motherboard and physically examine it very closely. Same with the graphics card. Dropping something like a PC is like a car crash. You never know what was damaged until you disassemble it.

Question from raziel7777 : "Dropped PC won't turn on"

Alright guys my wife dropped my pc when we were moving. It fell from her arms so it took quitr the hit. Since then it will not turn on. When i hit the power switch the cpu fan spins only a hair and nothing lights up.
I replaced the cmos battery.
I also jumped the psu by with the paperclip method. It turns on and the fans on the motherboard start spinning. I can hear the hard drive start spinning.
The cpu fan does not spin and the video card does not light up or spin.
I removed the cpu and inspected it. No burn marks. At the moment i have no thermal compound so i reaseated it without applying new xompound yet.
Still no luck.
My thoughts are the hard drive and psu must be ok. So it could either be the motherboard or cpu?
