I thought this website was Tom's HARDware. Not sure where this fits, but ok. I use to care about portals about 4 years ago when I was just a bit too into gaming. I was using this software called SMF for forums, trying to link it to decent portal software. Drupal was one I'd tried, at the time. I don't do this, anymore though. Too much of a headache for a number of reasons.

Looks like someone hit the wrong key when capitalising my title. I swear it wasn't me! :) I fixed it anyway; something like that is cringe-worthy to me.

Well if you check the breadcrumbs, there is actually a space for software news. We also do software reviews on occasion. Check out our web browser grand prix, for example. :)

Drupal is more than a portal. Actually it's both more and less than a portal, because it doesn't have a defined purpose. It can pretty much do anything you want it to do if you've got the time and skills to tame the beast.

[citation][nom]WyomingKnott[/nom]Pardon my ignorance, but what is a Drupal? I know what a CMS is - Code Management System, or a source code repository. (what, is my age showing again?)[/citation]
In this case it stands for Content Management System.

I know; I looked it up before I posted. That was somewhere between sarcasm and satire; what good is an acronym if it has multiple meanings?

Reminds me of what DNA stands for in a hospital: Do Not Abbreviate. Really.
