Dsl pots connection

Tech question.
I have dsl and know what 2 wires from the main line I need to hook into my pots adsl jack but I don't know what phone wire runs to the jack that my modem is hooked into.
Is there anyway to test lines to find out what line go's where in my house. from my main hook up into my basment to the living room jack is what im trying to find.

its been a while but if i remember correctly the DSL line will be connected to a different kind of junction box then the line for the one for the phone line

It completley depends.
If you have a bonded dsl setup or vsync dsl then this should be its own issolated connection.
If you have traditional dsl then this is sent of the exact same phone line so you just plug in to any phone jack and it will work

Do you hae any sort of access to where the phone comes into your house and where the phone lines are teminated to?

I need to trace the wire from the basment to my living room wall jack that the modem is hooked into then hook them wires into the dsl section of the pots jack that the main line is hooked into
I accidently un hooked the pots jack thinuking it was for something els.

Can you get me a good resolution picture of the wires in the box?
I need to see what is going on to advise you correctly.
