Even if you use their modem, you can do this with bridge mode. And dsl modems are much more picky than cable so you don't have much of a shot at the modem working if you change providers.Or you can bite the bullet once and forever, and get pure DSL modem compatible with your ISP. This will let you in the future to swap routers (or move to eg fiber or cable serivce) without having to recondigure your whole network.
