Dual 1080 or single 1080TI?

What do you guys think? Dual 1080 or single TI? It's been a long time since I've built a PC, I want to do it right.

Is this a fresh build? I have 2 1080's in sli and I can tell you its awesome. They are more powerful than a single 1080 ti but some games don't support sli very well. What are your goals for this pc? 4K high settings?

If you want to be assured of the best overall performance, a single 1080 Ti would be the better option. Of course, for games that support it, 1080's in SLI would destroy a single 1080 Ti.

With 2 1080s I can play the division max settings 4k 60fps, wildlands modified ultra settings 4k and get average of 50fps. Those are the only 2 I've played since building it.

I'm not concerned about 4k, I'm mainly looking for 1080p, but maxed out across the board.

Is that okay? Or should I have higher goals lol? I was thinking that if I got a 4k monitor I could always double up TI's down the line.

Yea I would say you should have higher goals if you want a GTX 1080 Ti. You could have the same gaming experience with a GTX 1070 if you were limited to 1080p 60Hz.
