Hi I need a recommendation for a GPU that can run dual 144hz monitors but NOT for gaming purposes!! I know its a stupid idea but I have my reasons for it. I have 2x Dell s2717d currently connected to my GTX 550Ti but with HDMI and DVI and that obliviously wont work so I need a recommendation for the cheap GPU that will enable me 144hz on both 2K monitors.

Running i5 2500K with 16GB of RAM

Thnx

You can get Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or 2070 both can run 2 monitors seamlessly . RTX 2060 is slightly cheaper than RTX 2070 . You can get which one you want considering your budget.

I can get 1 monitor at 144hz at 2k or 1440p with RTX 970 or similar, so by viewing the specs it seams that I could get 2 with 1060? Only thing I need to be careful is that the GPU has 2xDP 1.2 ports...but that is just a theory, hence I am here to seek better advice...

Don't buy a GTX1080TI or 2 1060's just because you're running 2 screens at 144Hz, that's ridiculous. What ports do your monitors have? Also, with 2K, do you mean 1920 x 1080?

My monitors has DP 1.2, HDMI 2.0 and 1.4. To get what I want I would need to connect them over DP 1.2 or higher. By 2K i mean 1440p or 2560x1440. Since HDMI 2.0 gets me only up to 120Hz, correct me if I'm wrong...

So far I'm sure I need, 2xDP 1.2 but not sure about the card since I wont be paying any games...some said that I can get by with 950/960/970, some say 1060 at least or even higher so kind of lost here...GPU specs dont provide any info at which rez I can get which refresh rate + i would need it for 2 monitors

As far as I'm aware HDMI does only support up to 120Hz, correct. I do agree it's almost impossible to find the correct specs, I've not found any website with a clear answer as to what hardware is needed to support 2 monitors at 144Hz. To my knowledge DVI does support 144Hz, so you could try using that with a special cable...
