My HP Pavilion p6-2100 was manufactured with a BIOS that supports Legacy and UEFI. I am wanting to know if I can update the BIOS to a version that only supports UEFI? I do not used the legacy functions. I am currently running windows 8.1 Pro in UEFI mode.

What version do you want to update to? Do you mean that you want to find a version that doesn't support legacy, or that you have a particular version that you want to update to, that version doesn't support legacy, and you want to know if it's OK to update?

If you get what I mean.

It's not on the HP website. My PC came from HP with windows 7 preinstalled with AMI BIOS version 7. They also produced the same computer with all of the same hardware with Windows 8 preinstalled that came with AMI BIOS version 8. Each computer came with the BIOS levels that were required for their software environments, so HP will not issue a BIOS update. I have since upgraded to Windows 8.1 and am in need of the version 8 BIOS. HP will not allow me to have a copy of it.

I see you posted on the HP site. They didnt say they wouldnt give it. They said Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate a BIOS update for that motherboard at this time. HP cant give something that doesnt exist. And the 2nd time they said it could cause bricked systems. Because it was for a different mobo
