Hi all. Can anyone help with this one? After attempting to remove Madrake linux from a dual boot with Windows 98 (formatting linux partition and fdisk /mbr), my system refuses to boot up. I get the message requesting me to insert a system disk and then press enter. I then booted from floppy and after typing "dir" at the C: prompt, I get the message: 'Volume in drive C has no label', and then 'no files found'! HELP! Is it time for a new install, or are there any utilities (APART FROM SCANDISK) to get my system up and running again.

Mmmm...try to boot from a system disk, use Fdisk and try to see what partition is activated.

It's better to be rich and healthy than poor and sick!

No promblemo, start Linux installation with expert mode, delete all the partitions, quit install at that point, boot with 98 boot floppy, create your partitions again, install Windows, dont repeat Linux - Windows thing again if you want DOS partitions to live long after Linux removal.

Post, we'll do the "search"...
