dual boot on laptop

I have win8 on my new laptop and i have to install centos on it. can anybody help me to make dual boot on it i want both on it.

Why dual boot? Just install a VM (VMWare, VirtualBox, etc.) and install Centos in it. Then you can run both simultaneously.

You might run into problems with recent Win8 laptops. Most of these are shipped with UEFI Bios, and GUID ( GPT) based hard disk, so putting Linux there will be a challenge. This guy http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?t=80103 seems to have done it.

Whatever you do, make sure you have your data backed up, and you have created (or have ordered) recovery media for your laptop.
