I need to know how to dual-boot Windows 7 with Ubuntu on my laptop.

I have gotten as far as creating a new data partition for Ubuntu, booting from a flash drive (containing Ubuntu), and installing Ubuntu on said new data partition. Now I can't figure out how to select the Ubuntu partition to boot from. All I can find in BIOS is the option to boot from different drives, but both OSs are on my SSD. I have Bigfoot Boot Agent by the way (came with the laptop).

Is there something I can change in System Configuration (msconfig)? Do I have to install another boot agent? (such as GRUB?)

The specs probably don't make a difference but here they are in case (plus software):
laptop is from ibuypower
Windows 7 Professional (64-bit)
120GB SSD
1TB HD (7200RPM)
Processor: Intel Core i7 4800MQ @2.7GHz
RAM: 32GB
Graphics: GTX780m

Installing the OS on a new hard drive is always ok. It doesn't get touch or mess up with Windows either.
I say; go for it.

Thanks for the warning. Do you think it would work fine to boot it from the other hard drive that I've been using for data storage on a new partition?
