Dual Boot Xp and W7

Hi! guys,
Is there any way i could dual boot xp with W7 with Xp as default boot.

I don't think any of you understood my question.
I have Win7 and Win Xp installed in dual boot.
So, when i switch on my desktop it asks me to choose between two OSes to boot into and highlites the higher OS version(W7) as default. What i want is to highlight Win Xp and boot into it as default. Please tell me there is a way to do that please 😉

That's an easy one, click on start type "msconfig" in the search bar without the quotes, you will see a pop up with that file name on it, click on it, select the boot tab, click on the line containg XP, set as default will now be active, select apply OK and exit. Done.

@Jonmor : not working
on W7 when i go to msconfig it only shows W7 as the boot option and on Win Xp, msconfig shows only a couple of line in boot.ini including timeout period 🙁

Power on the system -> computer gives me two options -> Lower version of windows and Windows 7, with windows 7 highlited and shows a time out of 30 sec to change from W7 to lower version of windows

what i need is that the computer should ask me the same thing with Lower version of windows highlited.
So that if i do not select any option it directly boots into xp not W7

You must have more then one OS listed in the boot option even if one does not specify XP, there has to be 2 lines otherwise you would not have a boot choice, or are you using a third party utility?

Can You copy and paste the contents of the boot file in W7.
No you can't.

Microsoft Windows Vista (C:\Windows)

Do you happen to have EasyBCD or BCDEdit installed on XP or W7?

No. I was thinking of buying vista boot loader if that can help me

Download and install EasyBCD, that will fix your boot problems it's free.
I still can't figure how i's dual booting.
