I would like to undo my dual boot option without losing
any data from the disks.I have two separate harddrives
with different OS.Ater removing one drive the other does
not function anymore. After booting with one drive the
message is:NTLDR is missing. Is there any practical
solution? The OS are XP on the slave drive and
Win98.sec.Ed.on the master.
Thank you.

ntldr is missing sounds like you have a bad xp install (or
a floppy in the drive that it is trying to boot
from...hope not)
which one doesnt work if you unplug the other one? can you
move the data and then do an upgrade from the 98 SE
machine to XP? It is prob not seeing the other one if it
is unplugged because the bios might be set incorrectly for
a one drive setup.
