hi, i'm sorry for this newb question. (and my english)
i have 2 2GB memories with different spec (one is PC2-5300S and the other one is PC6400), whenever i use both of them, most of the time my GPU will overheat and shut down my laptop. but when i use only one of them my GPU is fine.

the question is, if i change my memories into 2 identical 2GB of RAM, will it enlighten my GPU's work so it wont get overheat anymore? or should i just look for a single 4GB RAM?

(in case you're asking, my laptop is Acer 4736G)

what processor and what GPU are we talking about here? What you say makes no sense and I've never heard of anything like that before.

THe only (very unlikely) explanation that I can come up with is that your processor can work better with more RAM and is able to send more work to the GPU - but that's really very, very unlikely, Or maybe (equally unlikely) is that you don't have either sufficient cooling or electrical current in the laptop.
