yeah, I meant two sets of 2X4G. So the memory I buy doesnt need to be labled as "Dual Channel" for my board to use it like that as long as I have the correct board/chipset.
Whats the deal with RAM been labeled as dual or quad channel then? or been for chipset X79 o Z77? do all work with all then?
That means it has been tested to work in dual channel or quad channel setups. They guarantee it to work in that setup. If you get 2 sets of dual channel and run it in quad channel you could have errors and if you do get them the memory company might not help if they have bad customer service.
