In selecting memory modules for dual channel memory configuration, should use identical memories or dual channel memory kits.

The term of identical memories, does it apply to memory module’s brand too should be the same or just the specifications such as same on Latency, Voltage, depth component, data width etc?
In another word, will 2 memory form different brands but do have exactly the same spec. work for dual channel configuration?
Because for example, memory module 2GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600U-9-10-B0 is made by some different brands.

Because for example, memory module 2GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600U-9-10-B0 is made by some different brands. They should, especially at stock or underclocked speeds. The difficulty is that same spec RAM from more than one manufacturer may have different memory chips that cause stability issues at over-clocked speeds.
