There was a power outage on Friday (9/06) while my desktop was in sleep and caused me some problems at first. The computer did not boot up to show a display on either my TV or main monitor. After following the guide I found on Tomshardware, it appeared that resetting the CMOS battery on the Gigabyte GA-Z87x motherboard, the displays were back in working order.

I have used the computer for the past two days with no problem. However, I awake this morning to start my computer, and only my TV (which is connected through an RGB to DVI connection) is displaying. I tried restarting my computer, which did not seem to make the main monitor (on a HDMI connection) start up. I tried disconnecting the DVI connection to force the computer to recognize the HDMI connection but to no avail. I'm running with a NVDIA GeForce GTX 770 video card. Any tips on troubleshooting the problem? I think these problems all stem back to the power outage on Friday.

I'm using the computer right now, and the LCD TV is working fine (the monitor connected to the DVI connection). I did try starting the computer back up with only the LED monitor hooked up to the HDMI port, and it did not recognize the monitor (monitor's in perpetual standby mode). I want to say that both monitors are in working order as I was using both last night.

When you suggest driver reinstall, do you mean for the video card? I feel like this could be a vid card problem.

Fixed it! It was a faulty HDMI cable connected to the LED. Thanks for the help! My process:

I tried to isolate the problem and removed the video card. I then plugged the DVI cable into the motherboard for the TV and it worked OK. Then I disconnected it and plugged the HDMI into the motherboard, but the LED didn't display. I then used a spare VGA cable and connected the LED to the motherboard, and sure enough LED lit up. I switched out the HDMI cord and it worked like a charm.

I'm happy it was just a simple cable problem, but that's usually not what I figure to be faulty.
