So my issue is the following:
I recently just ordered an EVGA 1060 6gb Gaming FTW+ card (upgrading from an old ASUS HD6970), and I have currently 2 LCDs which both are ASUS VW193T. The problem is the GPU only has 1 DVI port, 1 HDMI and 3 Display Ports. As far as I've read I don't seem to need an active DP to DVI adapter since both LCDs are DVI-D hence not having to convert to analog signal.
But I'm not entirely sure of this, if I indeed need an active adapter, what would be a good choice to do DP to DVI-D, or HDMI to DVI-D?

Solution
Because your screen is not over 1920 x 1200, an easy fix is a HDMI - > DVI Adapter(these passive cables work both ways too so in the future it can run an HDMI screen from a DVI port. The same 1920 x 1200 limit may be imposed depending on the card and monitor combination. I have done 2560 x 1440 over them without issues). These passive adapters are generally cheap and HDMI and DVI use the exact same signalling up 1920 x 1080.

I am pretty sure passive DP -> HDMI adapters will do the trick, but can not confirm all cards pass DVI over DP
