mobo- asus tuf gaming x570 plus wifi

cpu- 5900x

gpu- 2 Titan Xp

Need help with how my pcie lanes are split on my board both pcie lanes are gen 4 x16 and i have my m.2 in the second slot with the heatsync my board supports bi-configuration 8x8 but would that work since both of my cards are nvidia on a crossfire board and no my not using them for sli and will my m.2 get in the way of doing that

would it just force the second card into x4 if i set it up to 8x8 im just using the second card for lossless scaling and the first one to render the game displaying out the second card with gpu passthrough

AMD Ryzen™ 3rd Generation Processors
1 x PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 slot (at x16 mode)
AMD Ryzen™ 2nd Generation Processors
1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (at x16 mode)
AMD Ryzen™ 2nd and 1st Generation with Radeon™ Vega
Graphics Processors
1 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slot (at x8 mode)
AMD X570 chipset
- 1 x PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (max. at x4 mode)
- 2 x PCIe 4.0 x1 slot

the second slot is from chipset max out at x4

Have you assembled all of these components, without manually setting the PCIe lanes as suggested? If so, is there a performance problem with any particular device?
I have assembled everything to my best understanding I did not enable 8x8 in the bios it was set to auto I was having performance issues with lossless scaling and was curious if the pcie lanes was causing it even when i use gpu passthrough without the program running i get better performance (ik i sound stupid) its difficult to find information on it i know it works ive seen videos of it working but obviously im doing something wrong

First PCIE x16 slot works in PCIE 4.0 x16 mode
Second PCIE x16 slot works in PCIE 4.0 x4 mode.

There is no option to force second PCIE x16 slot into x8 mode.
And SLI is not supported.

Didn't quite understand that.
What does anything here have to do with "gpu passthrough"?
Are you sure, you understand the meaning of "gpu passthrough"?

I am well aware that the motherboard does not support SLI I knew that prior to making the post it supports crossfire
from what my i understand of what i trying to do i to GPU1 renders the game and I'm using GPU2 for upscale and frame generation for this to work you display out of GPU2 to me this is GPU passthrough the motherboard to the other GPU may not be the true definition

I really don't think this will work as you assume. Your game will rely upon a single GPU for all processing. The second GPU could drive additional displays, or maybe perform Physx calculations, but not what you are trying to do.

Maybe someone else will come along with a different idea regarding your situation.

I got it to work just tested on FF15 4K max settings usually i get 35-45 FPS even with lower settings it didnt change that much and with limiting my fps to 30 in game and Rivatuner i was getting 60fps in game and i only have one display my TV my seconded is my laptop i know what im trying to do is not perfect nor am i going to try it on every game a lot of people have problems with it before it would drop it down to 12fps / 24 fps idk what i was doing wrong
