I run a dual GPU (2 x NVIDIA 2070) Windows 10 Pro system with an Asus X99 Deluxe II motherboard.

One of the PCI slots is not functioning. I swapped the GPUs PCI slots to make sure it is not a GPU error, and discovered it is one PCI slot in particular that is not reading in Device Manager. The GPUs are working, once swapped the one that would not read worked.

I’m unsure how to proceed determining if it is a motherboard malfunction or a BIOS error. Is there a setting in BIOS I can check to see if that is causing the issue? I

I have updated Drivers with no change in status.

Thank you in advance for your help!

If the MB has the newer BIOS, also you should update the chipset driver too, and you have a strong enough PSU that can power 2x rtx2070, and I think the MB (pcie slot) may have problem.
You can get the chipset driver from asus or intel site.
