I've been wanting to try out some 3-monitor gaming since the Matrox Parhelia came out... although that card no longer has the horsepower for more modern games. PCI-x has me interested in the possibility of putting 2 fast cards in the same system. Is it possible to run 2 cards independantly on an SLi board (non-SLi mode)? Or does it just disable the second slot when SLi isn't on? Think mobo makers will ever entertain this idea?

I have a feeling I'm in for a bit more of a wait before I can do what I've been wanting to...
