Dual Graphics Decreased FPS (Radeon 8470D + Radeon HD 6570)

hi, I have been running my pc with just the APU graphics alone for a few days (AMD A6 6400k) my new graphics card came today and I installed it with the drivers and enable crossfire and I can confirm the dual graphics is working (Radeon 8470D + Radeon HD 6570) but since ive installed the graphics card it has decreased my fps when playing world of Warcraft.

The World of Warcraft doesn't officially support Crossfire or SLI. Are you driver the most current ones or the ones provided with the card on disc and are you running the game in DirectX11?

yeah im running the game in directx11, and I have the latest drivers. device manager is saying it recognises both the APU intergrated graphics and the radeon 6570 together, and in the amd driver control panel its set onto dual graphics and its all fully working. the only problem is that when playing wow my fps has decreased is there nothing I can do?

no I only play wow. If my fps is increased in another game im not really bothered. if its gunna reduce my fps in wow theres no point me having the graphics card

btw have you tried the card on it's own? It might give better fps than the integrated 8470D...

yeah the intergrated graphics is actually 5-10 fps better in general lol

yes I have to newest drivers and dual graphics is enabled. is there nothing I can do here?

wow, I would have expected the ram bandwidth to actually bottleneck the APUs performance badly enough for the 6570 to be faster. Just out of curiosity, what ram are you using? I've read some test showing quite nice performance scaling with ram speeds...

like 1600MHz cl9 or something 😀

Not all games support Crossfire/SLI. Some games are known to reduce the FPS. I guess WoW is one of them.
