Dual GTX 1070 or GTX 1080 Ti

I am making a new gaming PC with the following specs-
Intel Core i7-7700K
Asus Maximus IX Hero
Corsair H110i
G.Skill TridentZ RGB memory 32 GB
Samsung 850 Pro 512 GB SSD
Seagate 2 TB HDD
In Win 805 case
Corsair peripherals

Should I get dual GTX 1070s or one GTX 1080 Ti? I will be gaming at 1440p 144Hz for dual GTX 1070 and 4K 60Hz for 1080 Ti. So resolution depends on GPU ( because monitors I chose come at the same price)

1080Ti @ 1440p 144Hz. Wouldn't touch sli or 4k.

Sli game support is dropping and high Hz over higher resolution for gaming experience.

The SLI is loosing support veeery fast, curretly for me at least is worth a single discrete powerfull card over a SLI of lesser cards.

I would got for the 1080ti and the 1440p 144hz monitor, with g-sync too.

But in the next 2 years Devs will pick up DirectX 12 so yeah, multiple GPU will be usable again and SLI bridges will die
