Dual internal hard drives

My fiancee just regained her computer and found that her sister's bf dropped a one terabyte hard drive into it, partitioning her computer through bios. We want to incorporate the second hard drive into the administrator / main drive after formatting it.

System:
Gateway GT 5662
Windows 7 Ultimate 64

How do we go about this?

It's complicated to make it the "main" drive. It's easier to make it into a secondary drive, such as drive D: and your first hard drive a drive C:

You can do that by going to Start > right-click Computer and select Manage and finally Disk Management.
