Dual monitor resolution decrease

hi i just set set up a dual monitor on my geforce 9500 gt and suddenly my primary monitor max res in windows slider dropped from 1440x900 to 1366x768 and it all blurry

ok whatever in my nvidia control panel i selected the custom res option and set it to my monitors native res it worked
