Hi, I have a MSI GTX 960 which has a DVI plug, a HDMI plug and 3 display port plugs. I want to have dual monitors, one has VGA input and one has a DVI input. The DVI one works fine but when I plug in the other one (with one of these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/30cm-1-8m-HDMI-Male-to-VGA-Male-Video-Converter-Cable-for-HDTV-DVD-PS3/331552295802?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3D630a67e168d94444919acbd7d5d4da95%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D331552295802) it doesn't get a signal. Any suggestions?

Sorry but that cable is useless and will never work. I have no idea why they are even made. The best/cheapest way to do your setup would be to use a dvi-i to vga adapter(card probably came with one) for the vga monitor and a hdmi to dvi adapter for the dvi monitor. Using any other port for the vga monitor is going to require and active converter as the dvi-i port is the only one that carries an analog signal.
