Dual monitor + STRIX R9 380 4b - very high idle temps?

Before I got dual monitors, I'd get about 40c idle on my GPU, but now when I have two monitors connected to it the idle temp goes to 60c. while gaming it goes to 70-80c, which I guess is normal. but why are the idle temps so high nad is it normal?

A rise in temperature is normal because your card is trying to run twice the resolution. I have no personal experience with the R9 380, but 60c at idle seems high. What resolution are your monitors?

they both run 1920 x 1080

If the OP's card has a zero fan function then 60c @ idle might be normal, on my 380 the fans don't kick in until about 61c.

I decided to clean out the dust, it was packed with dust and I installed one more cooler close to the gpu, my idle temps dropped to 50c max, which is great knowing they used to be around 45c with just one monitor 😀 thanks though ))
