Dual Monitor support

I am running TNT2 Ultra in AGP, and old S3 card in PCI. Win2k REFUSES to let me use them to drive my two 17" monitors. I can use the TNT2 fine. But not the S3. I understand Win2k doesn't like S3 chipsets, so I am swapping to an ATI card for the second monitor.

But even then, there is a problem with booting from the AGP card. It will only recognize dual monitors if I boot from the PCI.. What's the beef???

If your BIOS is set to init AGP first, it SHOULD boot without problems using AGP as primary display.

I'd suggest that you take out your PCI card, and then make sure your AGP card is running like it's supposed to.
If you then add the PCI it SHOULD work.

I don't know what else can be done...

Tried it. AGP works fine. I now have it set to boot from PCI, and it works fine. Just doesn't work when booting from AGP.. Oh well.. Win2k still recognizes the AGP as primary video.
