I have GA-H81M-S gigabyte motherboard, i5-4460, Corsair VS650, Gigabyte nVidia GT 740 graphics card and two 8GB HyperX HX318C10F/8 memory stick. I have dual monitor setup (both LG 22MP68VQ), connected over HDMI and VGA.

Problem is when I try to watch DRM protected content on let's say on primevideo, it doesn't play HD content unless I disable VGA connected monitor. My graphcs card only has 1 HDMI and 1 DVI-D port, will getting a DVI cable fix the issue?

hmm nope, all your connected displays need to support HDCP and to some extent some video content requires specific minimum HDCP version
HDCP requires digital signal (display port, DVI-D or HDMI) analog VGA or DVI-A arent supported
DVI cable wont fix your issue as your analog monitor still doesnt have HDCP
most of active adapters doesnt support HDCP either

Both my monitors are LG ‎22MP68VQ, it supports HDCP but doesn't mention version.
