What is the general set up for dual monitors? I have a NVIDIA GTX 670 mini and 2 BENQ monitors: GW2760s and GW2450

I've plugged in the HDMI and the DVI to my dual monitors...I've found regardless of which display is supposed to be my primary, the HDMI connected screen is always super slow to connect.
Is this a windows thing? and HDMI thing? a monitor brand problem?
For example, when the computer starts up, the HDMI screen is black...the DVI connected monitor shows the proper "Starting Windows" load screen
I have a new SSD so it boots fast...I can hear the audible windows sound where you can input the password but it still takes 3-5 seconds before the HDMI monitor will turn on so I can actually see the login screen (in fact I can blindly input my password and login) and be inside windows before the monitor ever shows anything.
Same thing goes with coming out of sleep mode....the DVI monitor will always be up first.
Is there something I can do or is this something I have to live with?
