Hi all looking at going to dual monitors. I have a gtx 770 2gb graphics card. I see it has 2 DVI slots on it. I think they are differnet one is a DVV-I and the other DVI-D. Does this matter?

I presume I cant use HDMI for SLI as my pc onl y has one hdmi slot?
Any recommendations on monitors I was thinking about 20 - 22" for each? Would I need to buy speakers too as DVI does not transmit sound. BTW its not for gaming on both one would be trading/internet browsing and one gaming. Can my card still handle this?

Thanks Alex

I don't really care about the bezel because I kind of tuck it behind but some people can't stand that.

The thing with that monitor is that it's IPS so it will look better but it has an 8ms response time and for gaming you want the lowest response time you can get. You could actually buy both and have a really nice, vibrant IPS monitor with a gaming monitor next to it.
Your card can handle it. There difference between DVI-D and DVI-I is that DVI-D sends out a digital signal and DVI-I outputs a digital and an analog signal.

I don't know what you mean by "I presume I cant use HDMI for SLI as my pc onl y has one hdmi slot?" so I'll guess that you're talking about using DVI for one monitor and using HDMI for another? It works great and I had no problems (I'm using it now).

What's your budget for the monitors? Can you use the one you have now? Which would it be for (gaming or secondary)?

As for speakers, most cheap ones sound about the same. The Logitech Z313 have nice reviews and are $30 at BestBuy: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/logitech-z313-2-1-channel-speaker-system-3-piece-black-silver/9427774.p?id=1218104302605& .

Hi, I was gonna scrap my current monitor its an old monitor very bad. The budget would be about $150 - $200 per monitor.

What I meant is that I have two DVI ports can I use them both or would it be better using one DVI and one HDMI? Whch is better quality DVI-I or DVI-D?

Thanks Alex
